BACKGROUND
Wendy holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and is a clinically licensed therapist in both Kansas (#4619) and Missouri (#2017000786). Guided by her personal mission statement — "Empower, Educate, and Evolve self and others" — Wendy is deeply committed to helping individuals heal, grow, and step into their highest potential.
With extensive experience across diverse populations, Wendy specializes in women’s mental health, teen girl empowerment, and relationship counseling. She offers an affirming and compassionate space for 2SLGBTQIA+ clients, helping individuals from all walks of life feel seen, supported, and valued.
Wendy utilizes a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy, integrating traditional evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Strengths-Based Perspective. She complements these methods with Chakra energy healing, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and astrological counseling — weaving astrology into the therapeutic process to offer clients a deeper understanding of their soul’s blueprint and emotional healing path.
As a trauma-informed therapist and trained EMDR practitioner, Wendy works extensively with individuals healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and dissociation. Through integrating astrology, she helps clients recognize soul patterns, ancestral influences, and karmic wounds that may inform present-day challenges, empowering deeper levels of personal growth.
Wendy believes every client is the true expert of their own mental health journey. She honors each person’s inner wisdom by creating a collaborative, client-led space where transformation naturally unfolds.
Passionate about personal empowerment for women and girls, as well as dismantling systemic racism and oppression, Wendy weaves social advocacy and spiritual insight into her work. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, exploring evolutionary astrology, and online gaming adventures.
